If you find that you use your PCs (This time, Windows 10 PCs) more
than your smartphone, count your blessings! You can now download an
official Instagram app for Windows 10.
Before this, the only way you could access Instagram via PC was through the web app or a third party app. With the new app, you can upload images directly to Instagram from your PC camera roll folder, you can also get notifications, chat via Instagram Direct, and of course use Stories, Search, Explore, Profile, and Feed. However, as TNW points out, the app crashes when you try to add a Story, especially if you’re using a machine without a backward-facing camera.
To download the app, head over to the Windows Store.
